About the CES Career Education Society 2021 Conference

CES Career Education Society is pleased to be offering its 44th annual fall Conference November 29th and 30th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Vancouver!

The conference theme - "Routes to SUCCESS"- acknowledges there is always more than one way to move forward towards one’s preferred future, and that success can take on many forms. Helping youth develop resiliency to react to life's curves is a key role of the career development educator and community partner. We hope through colleagues, subject matter and community experts sharing their own knowledge and expertise, our conference participants will leave the conference armed with new knowledge and a sense of excitement about their personal role in helping youth succeed.

Currently the call for presenters is open and we welcome your application.  Click for more information. CALL FOR PRESENTER APPLICATION

Conference workshop themes include:

Finding hope, building blocks for positive life transitions:  Students engage in learning opportunities to help them build and maintain a positive self-image so they can tackle life’s many transitions.

Learning about the world of work and career awareness: Building awareness of occupations, communities, and career pathways and beginning to identify areas of interest.

Learning about careers through exploration: Students engage in learning opportunities that allow them to explore career options and opportunities and help them to inform decision-making. Through work experience and volunteer activities they can build their connections with the community that will help them see how they fit into the work.

Applying learning through career engagement: Students engage in work and learning opportunities that build their knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Students apply learning through practical experience and interaction with professionals from industry and the community to extend and deepen classroom work and support the development of college- and career-readiness knowledge and skills (higher-order thinking, academic skills, technical skills, and applied workplace skills).
